At Rug My Idea, we offer both custom handmade rugs and non-custom (ready-made) rugs. Because these products are different in nature, different return conditions apply.

Please read carefully before making a purchase.

1. Custom Handmade Rugs (Personalized Orders)

All custom rugs are made to order based on the customer’s idea, logo, artwork, or design.

Due to the personalized nature of these products:

• We do not accept returns or exchanges on custom rugs.

• Orders cannot be canceled once production has started.

• Slight variations in size, color tone, or small details may occur due to the handmade process.

• These variations are not considered defects.

Custom rugs are legally exempt from the standard withdrawal right under EU consumer law, as they are made according to customer specifications.

2. Non-Custom / Ready-Made Rugs

For rugs that are not personalized and are sold as general designs:

You may request a return within 14 days of receiving your order.

To be eligible for a return:

• The rug must be unused.

• The rug must be in original condition.

• The rug must be returned in its original packaging.

• Proof of purchase is required.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective.

Refunds (Non-Custom Rugs Only)

Once we receive and inspect the returned item:

• If approved, a refund will be issued to the original payment method.

• Shipping costs are non-refundable.

• Refund processing times may vary depending on your payment provider.

Damaged or Defective Items (All Products)

If your rug arrives damaged or defective:

• Contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

• Provide clear photos of the damage.

• If confirmed as a manufacturing defect, we will offer repair, replacement, or refund at our discretion.

We are not responsible for:

• Normal wear and tear

• Improper cleaning

• Damage caused by misuse

Production Time

Custom rugs require a production time of approximately 2–4 weeks.

Ready-made rugs are typically shipped within 3–5 business days.
